We are currently seeking a full-time Construction Technician - Inspector for our Iowa Program. This person will use their knowledge of municipal construction to assist with transportation, municipal, water and waste water construction projects. This individual could be located in our Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, or Quad Cities office.
Responsibilities:
Construction inspection of municipal water, sewer, drainage and road infrastructure projects.
Perform field duties including density and concrete testing of construction materials.
Provide written documentation of construction observations and materials incorporated into the project.
Maintain accurate construction records.
Maintain and develop positive client and team relationships.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
5 10 years of related experience is strongly desired.
Experience with the construction inspection and testing of transportation, municipal sewer and water projects is desired.
Ability and willingness to perform field work as needed.
IDOT and ILDOT construction certifications are desirable.
Valid drivers license is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills and familiarity of industry practices and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Outlook software.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
